Colorado Storm Student Athletes and Parents,
Welcome to the Colorado Storm College Advisory program. The Colorado Storm College Advisory program is for the U14 to U18 age groups. Colorado Storm will maintain and present an in-house College Advisory program. Why? Storm has the knowledge, resources, and contacts to aide our student athletes and parents on how to self-recruit. The College Advisory material Storm presents is from online resources and real life experiences working with college coaches.
The Storm College Advisory program will cover several areas to help guide the self-recruiting process for each player.
Here are some areas that will be covered:
* The importance of good grades
* The role of the student and parent
* How to identify a school
* How to communicate with a college coach
* Ideas to pay for school
* College testing and admissions
* Proper use of social networks
* The role of the club coach
The Storm College Advisory program will provide separate annual meetings for boys and girls with local college coaches. Individual team meetings are highly suggested for the U14 to U16 teams and any team that will travel.
