It is a privilege to introduce myself as the new President and General Manager of Colorado Storm. My personal connection to, and respect for, Colorado Storm spans several decades. Nearly twenty-five years ago Kelvin Norman and Shami Behbehani, the Directors of Coaching for Cherry Creek Lightning (now Colorado Storm), invited me to coach several youth teams at the club. At the time, the CCL had less than a total of one thousand players participating in both the recreational and competitive programs. Even then, the club’s commitment to the players both on and off the soccer field, level of play, and the overall caliber of delivering excellence was apparent.
Over the course of the last twenty-five years, I have had the distinct pleasure of working directly with thousands of youth and hundreds of coaches at various clubs and soccer schools throughout the Metro Denver Area as well as managing the operational, financial and marketing side of soccer related businesses. This has afforded me a very diverse background that I hope to bring to Colorado Storm. I am keenly aware of the soccer climate, opportunities, and growing challenges facing our club today and in the coming years.
My vision for the Colorado Storm, quite simply, is to become the premier youth soccer club in the state, committed to cultivating soccer players at every stage of play and to take the club to the next level by:
- Growing and promoting the brand of Colorado Storm both internally and externally
- Ensuring the club is run in the best interest of members
- Deepening opportunities for community outreach and partnerships
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with new and existing supporters and benefactors
- Providing platforms and opportunities for players, past and present, to stay engaged with the Club long after they have ended their playing careers.
- To bring an operational excellence to the club in all aspects of our business
I will not take a specific coaching role at Colorado Storm. It is my job to foster the culture, ensure we stay true to our mission, run the business of the club and provide Mike Haas and the best coaching staff in the state what they need to develop great soccer players and give members a lifelong passion for this great sport.
Today, Colorado Storm is one of the largest youth soccer clubs in the country, and is the largest youth soccer club in the state serving approximately 6,000 players. Regardless of ability, the top priority of the club has endured: helping each player reach the highest competitive potential and, in so doing achieve their greatest dreams and aspirations, both on and off the soccer field. This total soccer experience, commitment to developing team and self, respect, sportsmanship, discipline, dedication, leadership and fair play, provides our players with timeless lifelong skills.
It is a pleasure to be able to return to the club that was instrumental in cultivating my passion to pursue a professional career in soccer so many years ago. I look forward to working with you, the leadership in the club, committed players and their families, our alumni and the surrounding community, in taking Colorado Storm to the next level.
Sincerely,
Marc Francis
Our Second Annual Golf Tourney is at the beautiful private golf course, Harmony Club. We mix 18 holes of golf with our Storm Academy FC family. We use the golf tourney to bring together our membership and supporters in the spirit of raising funding for youth scholarships and youth outreach.

We held a very successful FREE clinic to kickoff our recreational league! The training was provided to U5-U10 players by our staff coaches and competitive team coaches. It also served as a great opportunity for coaching education. Thanks to the players, families, and coaches who attended. See pictures of the event at our facebook page.

Quentin, or Q as his teammates call him, was selected to join a pool of players going to Florida for the U15 US Soccer National Team Camp taking place December 11 to December 18. Q plays as a center defender fo the U15 Boys team at Colorado Storm and has been a standout with the team and the club. We wish Q the best of luck at camp!

Thanks for coming out to see the MLS Cup! The event was made possible for Storm Academy FC by the following:
Marcus of the Colorado Rapids for bringing the Cup to Fort Collins!
Chris Sharpe GK for the Colorado Rapids for bringing donations and especially helping us raise funds through the jersey raffle!
All of our Storm Members for making contributions (we raised $700!) for the raffle for the autographed SHARPE jersey!
