Neighborhood TEAM | Skills Focused Curriculum | Coaches Training Manual | Semi-Annual Training for Coaches | Practice in Your Local Park
The Recreational Program is an entry level program for all U-5 to U-19 players. Highlights of the program include neighborhood teams, generally a 7 or 8 game season on Saturdays, preceded by two weeks of practice (weather permitting). Practices are typically at neighborhood parks for Storm South Teams. Semi-annual training sessions are available for all coaches during Super Coaches Saturday. Vacancies on teams are filled and new teams are formed on a first come, first served basis. Winter and summer player skills camps are available to all players for an additional cost for most age groups.
All coaches at this level are parent volunteers.

The Thunder Prep Program is for the player that wants to start to develop their individual skills while in a team environment. A pre-season camp in the fall will be available to all players. Teams will practice two times per week. Players will have the option for a third day of training at the Storm Developmental Academy, for an additional cost. Thunder Prep teams will play in the In-house league against other Thunder Prep and recreational teams. Coaches will receive a training that will assist them with practices throughout the year. Semi-annual training sessions are available for all coaches prior to each season. This program is best for those players who have above average recreational ability and commitment level. The Thunder Prep Program opens the door for teams and players to play at a more advanced level moving forward prior to competitive soccer at U-11.
