Colorado Storm Sends 29 Players to College in 2010 and Counting

Colorado Storm has 29 players committed this year to play in college. We want to congratulate these players in their accomplishment of getting to play soccer in college while being able to earn a degree. These players getting scholarships played with Academy Copa, Royal and White Teams. We are proud of the success the girls have achieved and we wish them the best of luck through the rest of their lives.

Ron Loos inducted into CYS Hall of Fame

On January 23rd 2010 Ron Loos was inducted into the Colorado Youth Soccer Hall of Fame, posthumous. Ron Loos worked with Colorado Storm as the Referee Field Coordinator. He mentored several referees, young and old, during the numerous weekends he would spend out at Dove Valley and Gates Soccer Complex.

U10 Tropical Storm Girls Win 2010 World 3v3 Championships

Congratulations to the U10 Tropical Storm girls for their 2010 3v3 World Championship. The event is held each year in Florida at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex where teams from all over the country come together to play. Teams had to qualify through competitions in their state that were played over the summer.

Congratuations to Nikki and good luck during the 2010 season!!

PHILADELPHIA, PA – (January 15, 2010)— Washington Freedom selected University of Colorado defender Nikki Marshall in the first round of the 2010 Women’s Professional Soccer draft. Washington Freedom picked seventh overall. The draft began this morning at 10:00 a.m. with Atlanta Beat selecting New Jersey native, Tobin Heath for the overall first pick.
