Mar 09 2010 - Devin Rairdon
This last weekend The U12 Boys Blue Two excelled as they went 1-0-2 to gain a final birth where they beat Arsenal White for the Championship 2-1. Coach said the boys played very well, as a team, and really deserved the opportunity. "We worked really hard in the winter participating in a couple of indoor sessions and a training session that really helped the boys" Said Coach. "They took their lumps during that time but the work really paid off." In the tournament the Blue 2 Boys played the North Storm Black team tying them 2-2, a team that has beat them several times in the past. The boys then went on to beat a tough and physical Arsenal Black team 2-1 followed by a 2-2 tie against Renegade Rush on Sunday. In the final the Boys Blue 2 went up 2-0 scoring once in each half and then held on for the win against Arsenal White, winners of their division. Arsenal really brought the house against the boys in the last few minutes but with some good goalie work and strong defense they were denied. " This game was one of the best I have seen them play, they really played like a team" said Coach.
Congrats boys and good luck in the season.
