SPARKS PROGRAM (U4 PLAYERS)


Fun, Fun, FUN! | Six Training Sessions | Introduction to Soccer | Age Appropriate Activities | $65 Per Season


The Sparks Program is an introductory program for U4 players. Players will be organized into multiple groups for six Saturdays over the course of one season. The emphasis of the program is to introduce young players to the game of soccer. The qualified coaching staff will facilitate age appropriate activities for 45 minutes for six Saturdays over the course of the season. All sessions will take place at Colorado Storm’s Gates Soccer Complex.


ELEMENTARY RECREATION (REC) PROGRAM (U5-U19 PLAYERS)

Neighborhood Teams | Semi-Annual Training for Coaches | Practice in Your Local Park | $140 Per Season

 

The Elementary Rec Program is an entry level program for all U5-U19 players. Highlights of the program include neighborhood teams, generally a 7 or 8-game season, preceded by two weeks of practice (weather permitting). For U5-U8 teams, games will be played at Colorado Storm’s Gates Soccer Complex or at Village Greens. For U9-U19 teams, games will be played at Colorado Storm’s Gates Soccer Complex and in and around the metro area. Practices are typically at neighborhood parks. Semi-annual training sessions are available for all coaches during Super Coaches Saturday. Vacancies on teams are filled and new teams are formed on a first come, first served basis. Winter and summer player skills camps are available to all players for an additional cost for most age groups.


JUNIOR RECREATION (REC) PROGRAM (U8-U10 PLAYERS)

Two Player Camps | Eight Staff Training Sessions | 12 Goalkeeper Training Sessions | Friday Pick-up Scrimages | Skills Focused Coaching Curriculum | $415 Per Year

 

For the committed player! The Junior Rec Program is a yearlong program; it begins in the Fall season and continues through the Spring. Players are expected to commit to a full year starting with the fall season. This program features skills-focused developmental soccer, available for all U8-U10 players. Highlights of the program include a structured age appropriate coaching curriculum with an emphasis on developing each individual player’s technical skills. Once every two weeks, (4 times per season) a Colorado Storm skills coach will conduct the Junior Rec practice. The program also includes two player skills camps. The first four-day camp will precede the Fall season, while the second four-day skills camp will follow the Spring season. In addition, the Junior Rec program offers training for all goalkeepers on Fridays, six times each season. For the player who just cannot get enough, they can drop-in and play pick-up soccer every Friday over the course of the yearlong program to test their new skills. Each season, the Junior Rec team will play a seven or eight games at Colorado Storm’s Gates Soccer Complex and in and around the metro area. Junior Rec teams will play other teams from the Elementary and Junior Rec programs. Junior Rec teams will be scheduled to play at the appropriate level based on their performance from the previous season. Semi-annual training sessions are available for all coaches during Super Coaches Saturday. Players may progress to Junior Rec II their 2nd year, and Junior Rec III their 3rd year assuming they entered the program at U8, or they may progress to the Senior Rec Program after one or two years of Junior Rec training if they entered at U8. Also, winter and summer player skills camps are available to all players for an additional cost.

A full year commitment starting with the Fall season is expected. The Senior Rec program is the next step for our Junior Rec players who wish to have skills training more often than the Junior Rec program provides. This program features skills-focused developmental soccer concentrating on 1v1, 2v1, 1v2, and 2v2 tactics. Highlights of the program include a structured age appropriate coaching curriculum which builds off of the foundation of the Junior Rec Program. Six training sessions every season will be facilitated by a Colorado Storm skills coach. All practices will be at Gates. The program also includes two player skills camps. The first four-day camp will precede the Fall season, while the second four-day skills camp will follow the Spring season. In addition, the Senior Rec program offers training for all goalkeepers on Fridays, six times each season. THUNDER PROGRAM (U9-U10 Players)

Participation in the Jr/Sr Rec program is strongly recommended prior to entering the Thunder program. The appropriateness of the program for each player is discussed on a one-on-one basis with a Storm Director of Coaching. The Thunder program is for the most committed player that will play competitive soccer when entering the fifth grade. Program participation is typically a two-year commitment beginning in the Fall season of a player’s U9 year. Teams will train three times each week and will receive eight staff training sessions per season. All training will take place at Gates. For all U9 teams, a Fall pre-season tournament is included. Outdoor and indoor scrimmages are facilitated over the course of each year. Each Thunder team will play at the highest and most appropriate level. U9 teams will play an eight game season in Cross-Quadrant and U10 teams will play a ten game season in Option 1. Games may be played anywhere between Pueblo and Longmont for both Cross-Quadrant and Option 1. In addition, the Thunder program offers training for all goalkeepers on Fridays, six times each season. Also, Elite winter and summer player skills camps are available to all players for an additional cost.
